Sri Lanka grants free Tourist Visas to Omani citizens

7 June 2026

The Foreign Ministry announces that the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has decided to grant a free tourist visa to citizens of Oman, effective from 25 May 2026.

Under this arrangement, Omani citizens may enter Sri Lanka for a period of up to 30 days through the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system via the following website: www.eta.gov.lk.

The visa permits two entries to Sri Lanka starting from the date of first arrival. In the event of a second entry, the authorisation will be valid for the remaining balance of the original 30 day stay. The visa may also be extended upon payment of the applicable fee.

The Ministry draws the attention of citizens wishing to travel to Sri Lanka to the importance of ensuring that their passports remain valid for at least six months from the date of entry. Travellers are also advised to obtain health insurance covering the duration of their stay.

The Ministry wishes everyone a safe journey.
