The Sultanate of Oman strongly condemns the shooting at a church in Karak Governorate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

Oman reaffirms its firm rejection of all forms of violence, attacks on places of worship and acts that terrorise civilians. It also expresses its solidarity with Jordan.

Oman extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Jordan, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
