Oman and Russia discuss enhancing economic cooperation

Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), received at his office a delegation from the Russian Federation headed by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development.

The meeting reviewed prospects for joint action, as well as promising investment opportunities aligned with the priorities of both the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation. It also discussed existing areas of cooperation between the two countries in priority sectors, and ways to enhance partnership in key investment fields, most notably energy, infrastructure, logistics, food security and information technology.

The meeting also addressed the importance of expanding the scope of economic and investment cooperation, and of strengthening the role of both the public and private sectors to help achieve economic integration and support sustainable development in both nations.

The meeting also emphasised the importance of reinforcing economic and investment partnerships between the two countries, opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation and advancing mutual interests.
