Oman and the Federal Republic of Somalia review cooperation prospects and investment opportunities

Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, received at his office Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting Oman.

The meeting reviewed existing areas of cooperation between Oman and Somalia. It explored ways to develop these areas in line with the priorities of both countries. The two delegations also discussed promising investment opportunities in key sectors of mutual interest, including energy, infrastructure, logistics, food security and information technology.

They also addressed ways to strengthen economic and investment partnership and activate the role of both public and private sectors in supporting cooperation. This would contribute to achieving sustainable development and opening new horizons for economic integration between the two countries.

The meeting highlighted the importance of continuing coordination and exchanging expertise, to strengthen bilateral relations and advance mutual interests.
