His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, concerning the close fraternal relations between the two countries.

The message was received by Sayyid Khalid Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, during a meeting with Dr Gibril Ibrahim, Sudan’s Finance Minister and special envoy of the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.

The meeting included cordial discussions on relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Essam Metwally, Sudan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman; Ambassador Abdel Azim Sadiq, Director General of Arab and Asian Affairs at Sudan’s Foreign Ministry; and Major General Awad Abu Zeid, Second Deputy Director General of Sudan’s General Intelligence Service.
