The Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in the Russian Federation held a celebratory event to mark National Day, under the patronage of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin. The event saw wide participation from senior Russian officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

The meeting reviewed aspects of military and security cooperation between Oman and Russia.

This session reaffirmed a genuine desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Moscow, organised a celebration marking the 40 years of diplomatic ties between Oman and the Russian Federation. Oman’s Ambassador to Moscow, Hamood Altowaiya, attended the ceremony held under the patronage of Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin.

The National Museum and the Russian Embassy, held an official reception and a photo exhibition.

The Ministry will announce the date on which this exemption takes effect via its official channels in due course.
