Joint Omani-Russian statement on the occasion of the State Visit of His Majesty to the Russian Federation from April 21 to 22, 2025.

His Majesty held a bilateral meeting with President Putin followed by an official session of talks.

His Majesty praised the outcomes of his meeting with the Russian President.

The signings included a mutual visa exemption agreement and a protocol to establish a joint economic committee.

His Majesty said that Oman and Russia are looking to build on 40 years of diplomatic relations

During his state visit His Majesty will hold official talks with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

His Majesty visited the memorial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexandrov Garden at Red Square in Moscow.

During the visit, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will meet President Vladimir Putin.

His Majesty received the Ambassadors of Bangladesh, India, Japan, Pakistan, Russia, Sudan and Thailand.

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, met with Evgeny Kozlov, chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, with a view to enhancing tourism diplomacy. The meeting explored prospects for joint cooperation in the tourism sector and the exchange of expertise and experiences to develop bilateral relations.

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, received Evgeny Vinokurov, Vice President and Chief Economist of the Eurasian Development Bank, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, water and food security, and joint investments.

The Sultanate says it supports the effort to promote the language of dialogue to reach political solutions that achieve peace.

Hamoud bin Salem Altowaiya, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with Ms. Yulia Somachova, a representative of Vait Media, one of the largest media production companies in Russia. This meeting aimed to strengthen media and cultural cooperation between Oman and Russia and to explore partnership opportunities in production and content creation.

Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Hamood bin Salim Altowaiya, met with Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia. The meeting discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
