The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Moscow, organised a celebration marking the 40 years of diplomatic ties between Oman and the Russian Federation. Oman’s Ambassador to Moscow, Hamood Altowaiya, attended the ceremony held under the patronage of Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin.

The National Museum and the Russian Embassy, held an official reception and a photo exhibition.

Hamood Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Moscow, received a delegation of outstanding students from Sohar University. The visit was part of the university’s annual student trip held in celebration of their academic excellence. The Ambassador wished the students continued success in their studies and academic journey.

Ambassador Hamood Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, received Gatin Marat Ilshatovich, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Strategic Vision Group “Russia–Islamic World”. The meeting discussed matters of mutual interest during the meeting.

Oman’s Foreign Minister held telephone conversations with his Russian and Chinese counterparts.

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, received Konstantin Mayor, CEO of the Maer Group, a media and advertising company. The meeting explored opportunities for cooperation across various fields.

The Ministry will announce the date on which this exemption takes effect via its official channels in due course.

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, attended the military parade in Moscow marking the 80th anniversary of Russia’s Victory Day celebrations. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, attended the parade along with heads of state and government, and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Representatives of 54 Russian tourism companies learned about Oman’s tourism potential.
