A session of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation was held at the Foreign Ministry.

The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Russian delegation was led by Georgy Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The consultations reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and highlighted the importance of continuing to develop and strengthen cooperation across economic, cultural and scientific fields. They also addressed developments in the region and ways to reach understandings that prevent escalation and resolve disputes through peaceful diplomatic means.

The session was attended by Ambassador Mundher bin Mahfoudh Al Mandhari, Head of the Ministry’s Europe Department, Oleg Levin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, and various officials from both countries.
