Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi is continuing to make diplomatic contacts regarding regional developments.
Over the past week he held a series of telephone calls with his counterparts in sisterly and friendly countries.
The discussions addressed developments in the region, particularly the US Iranian announcement of a ceasefire. The talks reviewed the need to support current mediation efforts and to consolidate the ceasefire, leading to understandings that end the existing hostility and all acts of violence and fighting.
Sayyid Badr held calls with the following Foreign Ministers:
- Sheikh Jarrar Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait
- Jean Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic
- Yvette Cooper, Foreign Secretary and Minister for Development of the United Kingdom
- Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation
- José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain
- Mohamad Hasan, Foreign Minister of Malaysia
- Tom Berendsen, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
- Paulo Rangel, Foreign Minister of the Portuguese Republic
- Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cuba
- Hugo de Zela, Foreign Minister of Peru
- Toshimitsu Motegi, Foreign Minister of Japan
- Javier Martínez Acha Vásquez, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Panama
The Minister also held calls with:
- Khaled El Enany, Director General of UNESCO
- Yasutoshi Nishimura, Member of the Japanese Parliament, President of the Oman Japan Association and President of the Parliamentary Friendship Association with the Sultanate of Oman.
