15 Foreign Ministers say the move is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Houssein Ould Meddou, Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson in Mauritania, received at his office Jassim Alsaadi Ambassador and Head of the Sultanate of Oman Mission in Nouakchott. The meeting reviewed cooperation in culture and the arts, discussing ways to develop that cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.

The two leaders called for ending the cycle of conflict and preventing further escalation.

The Mauritanian Foreign Minister expressed his pride in the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.

The session reviewed existing cooperation between the two nations and discussed ways to enhance ties.

Daman Ould Hammar, Secretary-General of Mauritania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation with Africa and Mauritanians Abroad, received Jassim Alsaadi, Head of Oman’s Mission in Nouakchott. The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

Ambassador Jassim Alsaadi, Head of Oman’s Mission to Mauritania, took part in a meeting held by Thiam Tidjani, Minister of Minerals and Industry, with the heads of Arab diplomatic missions to Mauritania.  

Ambassador Jassim Alsaadi, Head of Oman’s Mission to Mauritania, attended the opening ceremony of the Third International Forum on Women’s Digital Empowerment. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of the First Lady, the wife of the President of the Republic, and was attended by a number of senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

Jassim bin Eid Al Saadi, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, received MP Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Al Sheikh Sayed Ahmed Wijih, Chair of the Mauritanian–Omani Parliamentary Friendship Group. They discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

Yacoub Ould Salem Vall, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Interior, Promotion of Decentralisation and Local Development, received Jassim Alsaadi Head of the Omani Mission in Nouakchott. The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation in fields to serve the shared interests of the two brotherly countries.  

Hanana Ould Sidi, Minister of Defence and Pensioners’ Affairs and Sons of Martyrs in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, received Ambassador Jassim bin Eid Al Saadi, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance joint efforts in the areas of endowments (awqaf) and religious affairs through various programmes and projects. The MoU was signed in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, on behalf of Oman

Sidi Yahya Ould Cheikhna Ould Lemrabet, Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, received Jassim bin Eid Al Saadi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Mauritania. The meeting discussed strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of common interest.

The Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across promising sectors.
