Ambassador Talal Alrahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to the United States, met with US Senator Lindsey Graham, Chair of the Senate Budget Committee. The meeting discussed relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States and ways to enhance cooperation, in addition to reviewing the latest regional developments.
Oman’s Foreign Minister said that while progress was made, no decisive outcomes were reached.
The Forum reviewed opportunities for strengthening trade and building investment partnerships.
The Sultanate of Oman participated in the Fourth Arab Media Conference, hosted in the Iraqi capital Baghdad. Mahmoud bin Muhanna Al Kharousi, Oman’s Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, took part in the conference on behalf of Mohammed Albalushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information. The Conference explored the role of the media in addressing climate change.
Oman affirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation in the Indian Ocean region.
Ambassador Sheikh Fahad Alojaili, Oman’s Ambassador to Jordan received at the Mission’s headquarters, Dr Ayman Khalil, Director of the Arab Institute for Security Studies. The meeting highlighted the Institute’s activities and its role in following up on regional and international issues through dialogues and seminars. It also reviewed the Institute’s regular specialised publications.
They discussed the historical ties and brotherly cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Union of the Comoros.
The next round of talks will be held in Rome on Friday.
