Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Said Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, met representatives of Chinese companies as part of the State visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and China, focusing on new partnerships with Chinese companies in transport, logistics, telecommunications, information technology, artificial intelligence, advanced technologies and drone-based air transport.

Discussions also covered opportunities to attract further Chinese investment to Oman, drawing on the country’s strategic location, infrastructure and economic potential. ]The aim is to support economic diversification, knowledge and technology transfer, and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the National Digital Economy Programme.
