As part of Oman’s participation in the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security, Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, met Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen them. It also covered a number of regional and international issues of common interest, foremost among them developments in the Middle East and efforts to reduce escalation through dialogue and diplomatic negotiations.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Salim bin Mabkhut Alkathiri, Head of Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Senegal, and Ibrahima Seck, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the Sultanate of Oman.
