The meeting took place at the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa.

The forum discussed a range of international issues, particularly those relating to Africa.

Ambassador Mohamed Alkathiri, Head of the Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to Senegal, attended the civil and military parade of the 66th Independence Day of the Republic of Senegal. The parade was attended by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

Ambassador Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s mission to Senegal, alongside Ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council states took part in a meeting with Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad. The meeting reviewed the ongoing developments in the region and their repercussions.

Malick Ndiaye, President of the National Assembly of Senegal (Speaker of Parliament), received Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s mission to the Republic of Senegal. The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries and explored ways to strengthen them.

Serigne Guèye Diop, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Senegal, received at the Ministry Ambassador Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of the Mission of the Sultanate of Oman in Dakar. The meeting reviewed ways to enhance trade and industrial exchanges and explored investment opportunities between the two countries.

Mohammed bin Salim bin Mabkhut Alkathiri, Head of Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Senegal, attended the ceremony at which the diplomatic corps presented its congratulations to the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

Ambassador Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of Mission of the Sultanate of Oman in Senegal, presented a Royal Letter to Billon David, appointing him as  Honorary Consul of the Sultanate of Oman in Côte d’Ivoire.

Ambassador Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of Oman’s Mission to Senegal, received Dr Mohammed Al Mokhtar Gueye, Director of Research at the Islamic Institute in Dakar, in the presence of Second Secretary Mohammed Altai. The meeting during which the guest was presented with books introducing the Sultanate of Oman, also discussed cooperation in cultural exchanges.  

Ambassador Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission in Senegal, received a delegation of Omani businessmen. The meeting discussed the possibility of engaging in investment projects in the fisheries sector.

Mohammed Alkathiri, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission in Dakar, attended a dinner for ambassadors hosted by Minister Yassine Fall, Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs. The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) participated in the event, during which the strategic challenges of the Investment Forum in Senegal were discussed.  

His Majesty received the credentials of the Ambassadors to Oman of China,Senegal and the UAE.

The Foreign Minister wished the Ambassador success in his duties.

The Head of Oman’s mission in Senegal, Saif Alsaadi, met with Serigne Gueye Diop, Senegal’s Minister of Economy and Trade, at the Ministry’s headquarters. They discussed topics of common interest relating to  economic and trade cooperation and investment between Oman and Senegal.

Oman’s Chargé d’Affaires in Senegal, Saif Alsaadi, met with Doudou Ka, Senegal’s Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, in the capital, Dakar. They discussed areas for further cooperation between Oman and Senegal.
