The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in Gastech 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Oman’s participation highlights its efforts to support energy transition, reduce emissions, achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and strengthen integration across the energy ecosystem. It also aims to create wider opportunities for strategic partnerships and investments with international partners.
As part of Oman’s participation, Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, took part in the ministerial session during the opening ceremony. The session, titled “Energy Reset: Who Holds the Power in the New Global Order?”, discussed shifts in the global energy landscape.
Oman’s delegation also includes Energy Development Oman, OQ Exploration and Production, Integrated Gas Company, OQ Gas Networks and Oman LNG.
The companies are organising Oman’s pavilion at the exhibition under the theme “Energy from Oman”. The pavilion highlights Oman’s integrated, reliable and competitive energy ecosystem, the sector’s capabilities and its role in supporting energy security and industrial growth while keeping pace with the rapid transformation of the global energy sector.
Oman is participating in the exhibition with a pavilion showcasing projects, solutions and operational capabilities that reflect the development of Oman’s energy ecosystem and its advanced levels of efficiency, reliability and sustainability. The pavilion also highlights the sector’s contribution to economic growth and enhancing in-country value.
Oman’s pavilion provides a platform for direct engagement with international partners, exploring new partnership and investment opportunities and strengthening engagement with existing and potential customers. These efforts aim to reinforce Oman’s position in the energy sector and support its transition towards a more sustainable future.
Oman’s participation in Gastech 2026 reflects the high level of integration across the energy sector and demonstrates the country’s ability to bring together national expertise and capabilities to deliver an integrated energy ecosystem that meets market needs and keeps pace with developments in the global energy sector.
