Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, headed the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the resumed 165th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States, held in Amman, Jordan.

The meeting approved the appointment of Nabil Fahmy as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, succeeding Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The Council also adopted a number of resolutions included on the agenda of the 165th session.

The Omani delegation also included Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musalam Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and Oman’s Representative to League of Arab States, and Sheikh Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman Alojaili, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, alongside Foreign Ministry officials.
