The new Omani-Pakistani Friendship Association will work to strengthen the longstanding bonds of friendship, frameworks of economic cooperation, and cultural ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, founder and president of the Association, said that the launch of the association marks a new chapter in the friendship and cooperation between the two friendly countries. It also reflects a collective commitment to building stronger relations based on mutual respect, cultural understanding, trade partnership and community engagement.
In a statement to the Oman News Agency, Syed Fayaz Ali Shah said the idea of establishing the Association came as a bridge to open up new horizons in the economic, cultural, social, youth and sports fields and to fulfil the ambitions and hopes of the two friendly peoples.
He added that the association had completed the formation of its founding members’ team, which includes a select group of experienced community leaders committed to achieving the shared objectives.
The founder and president also stated that the association plans to organise cultural events, educational programmes, business networking forums and youth initiatives, all aimed at strengthening relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Oman and Pakistan.
