Oman extends its heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.

Fahad Alkharusi , Head of Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, attended the opening of a calligraphy exhibition by artist Wisal Shahid. The exhibition was held at Parliament House to mark the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, under the patronage of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Engineer Sami Abdullah Salim Al Khanjari, Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman in Karachi, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, received Mr Fakir Muhammad Lakho, Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education in Karachi, at the Consulate General. During the meeting they discussed areas of cooperation in education, contributing to enhanced communication and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.

The meeting discussed practical initiatives in tourism, investment, trade, healthcare and education.

Fahad Alkharusi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, received Engineer Habil Khan, CEO of Welt Konnect, a company specialising in renewable energy, sustainability solutions and clean energy. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen renewable energy cooperation between the two countries.

The Sultanate of Oman took part in a memorial ceremony in New York organised by the Consulate General of Nepal  for the victims of the Broad Peak tragedy in Pakistan. Oman expressed its appreciation to the Government of Nepal for organising the humanitarian event and thanked the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for its efforts in the search

Coordination is under way with Pakistani authorities to repatriate Nadhira Al Harthy’s body to Oman.

The Ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
