Minister welcomes Ambassadors and WHO representative

Minister receives credentials of WHO Representative and copies of credentials of Jordanian and Turkish Ambassadors

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received the credentials of Dr Asmus Hammerich, World Health Organization Representative to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Minister welcomed Dr Hammerich and wished him success in carrying out his duties, reaffirming Oman’s commitment to continued cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) in support of health and the achievement of shared objectives.

Dr Hammerich expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation between Oman and the WHO and for Oman’s support for its work. He looked forward to strengthening the partnership and developing areas of cooperation.

In separate meetings, Sayyid Badr received copies of the credentials of Zaid Abdulkarim Abu Hassan, Ambassador-designate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Oman, and Hüseyin Ergani, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Türkiye to Oman.

Sayyid Badr welcomed the two Ambassadors and wished them success in carrying out their duties, as well as further progress, development and prosperity in bilateral relations between Oman and their respective countries.

The meetings were attended by Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Alqutbi, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s International Organisations Department; Ambassador Najib Albalushi, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Protocol Department; and Ambassador Dr Saleh Alkharousi, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Arab Department.
