The Sultanate of Oman participated in a multilateral meeting hosted by US President Donald Trump and attended by leaders and representatives from several Gulf and Arab countries and the Republic of Türkiye. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Oman was represented at the meeting by Talal Sulaiman Habib Alrahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States of America, accompanied by officials.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, the challenges currently facing the region, and efforts to de-escalate tensions and strengthen security and stability. Participants also explored ways to support diplomatic efforts and peaceful solutions to crises.

In this context, Oman reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy, alongside intensified regional and international efforts to contain tensions and create conditions conducive to reaching peaceful and sustainable solutions. These safeguard regional security and stability, and fulfil the aspirations of the region’s peoples for peace and development.
