During his official visit to the Republic of Belarus, Dr Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, accompanied by Hamood Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and non resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, visited the Slutsk Cheese Making Plant in the Minsk Region.

The Minister and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the latest technologies used in dairy production and the various stages of the manufacturing process. They also received a presentation on the plant’s capabilities, its advanced expertise in the sector and its role in developing the food and dairy industries.

The visit took place on the sidelines of Oman’s participation in BELAGRO 2026 and forms part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between Oman and Belarus. It also aimed to exchange expertise and explore experiences in the agricultural, food and industrial sectors, contributing to the development of partnerships and advancing the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
