Oman to celebrate 5th anniversary of his Majesty's accession
The Sultanate of Oman will celebrate next Saturday, January 11, the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik assuming leadership of the country.
Guided by His Majesty, Oman’s renewed renaissance has achieved significant accomplishments. These achievements align with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, focusing on administrative, financial, commercial, and investment reforms, as well as updating the legislative and regulatory framework, governance, integrity, accountability, and transparency.
Over the past five years, His Majesty has worked on restructuring the State’s administrative apparatus and modernising laws and regulations. Oman has witnessed remarkable progress in this vital field, directly contributing to advancing the development of the Sultanate. During this period, 470 Royal Decrees were issued.
Experts in the legislative and legal fields have highlighted that His Majesty’s vision is aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and keeps pace with global developments and changes.
This day is a national occasion through which Oman renews its commitment to achieving progress and prosperity, inspired by the wise leadership’s directives.
It places the empowerment of Omani citizens at the forefront of its priorities and aims to build a strong, sustainable economy that enhances the Sultanate’s global competitiveness and fulfils the aspirations of the Omani people for a better life rooted in innovation, modernity, and sustainability.
