Sayyid Dr Ahmed Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates,attended the launch by  Etihad Airways of direct flights from Zayed International Airport to Salalah Airport in Dhofar.

They reviewed the longstanding friendship between Oman and France and explored ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership.

The meetings addressed technical areas linked to implementation mechanisms of the agreement.

‏The two Ministers discussed current developments in the region, and ways to de-escalate the situation.

A Ministry of Transport event demonstrated that logistics is a key pillar of the national economy.

Bilateral trade quadrupled during the first months of 2026, while Russian exports to Oman increased tenfold.

The meeting reviewed prospects for joint action, as well as promising investment opportunities.

The meeting took place as part of the official visit by Somalia’s Foreign Minister to Oman.

The acquisition extends Asyad Group’s diversified asset portfolio to 24 countries and 76 cities worldwide.

Construction is progressing rapidly across several strategic locations along the project route.

The President was briefed on the port and the integrated freezone linking business with regional and global markets.

The agreements cover mineral exploration, the development of petroleum product storage facilities and a solar power plant.

Dr Alemu Sime Feyisa, Minister of Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia, received the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Oman Airports, Nasser bin Ahmed Al Sharji, in the presence of Dr Afkar Alfarsi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Ethiopia. The meeting discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector and issues of mutual interest.

Hamoud Altowaiya, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, participated in the opening of the First International Transport and Logistics Forum in Saint Petersburg, held under the patronage of President Vladimir Putin. The participation reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics.

The launch will be a milestone in the company’s drive to achieve international expansion and access promising new markets.
