The book serves as a tribute to memory and cultural expression, which for more than a century have helped build bridges between the two civilisations. Through a collection of images the book offers a way to travel and discover what is familiar in distant places.

In her foreword, Dr Hanan bint Ibrahim Al Shihi, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Americas Department, says relations between the Oman and Peru have continued to grow on the basis of mutual respect and constructive cooperation. She notes that this progress was recently marked by the opening of an Honorary Consulate for the Republic of Peru in Muscat.

She says the book elegantly reflects the spirit of cultural cooperation between the two countries and showcases historical and civilisational landmarks in Oman, alongside an artistic and architectural documentation of Peru.

She describes the book as a cultural and human bridge that deepens understanding and strengthens ties between the two peoples.
