The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Italy took part in the informal meeting of the 180th session of the Council of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The meeting discussed the impact of disruptions in supply chains in the Gulf region.

His Highness Sayyid Nazar Al Julanda Majid Alsaid, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission to the Italian Republic, attended the graduation ceremony of Omani participants in the Regional Cooperation Course at the NATO Defence College, including members of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies.

The opening was attended by Oman’s Ambassador to Italy and the Honorary Consul of Oman in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.

The call reviewed the outcomes of the visit of the Italian Prime Minister to Oman.

The Italian Prime Minister was accorded an official reception by His Highness Sayyid Shihab.

The statement was issued on the occasion of the official visit by the Italian Prime Minister to the Sultanate of Oman.

The talks reviewed the existing cooperation between Oman and Italy and how to develop that cooperation.

The next phase will focus on deepening joint investments and establishing long-term partnerships.

Prime Minister Meloni and her accompanying delegation were seen off by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by an official delegation of Italian government officials.

The meeting reviewed cooperation between the two countries and discussed ways to expand the partnership.

The Sultanate of Oman took part in the World Food Day celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), attended by the organisation’s Director-General.
