The ship Shabab Oman II of the Royal Navy of Oman docked at the port of Civitavecchia near Rome in Italy, as part of the outbound leg of its international voyage “Glories of the Seas 2025”. The Voyage aims to promote cultural understanding and showcase Oman’s rich maritime and cultural heritage. Leading the reception for the ship upon its arrival

The event took place in St Peter’s Square at the Vatican, in the presence of numerous heads of state and world leaders.

His Highness Sayyid Nizar bin Al Julanda Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic; and Mahmoud bin Hamad Al Hasani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Switzerland and non-resident Ambassador to the Vatican, participated in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis.

The call included an exchange of views on the ongoing talks between Iran and the United States.

The Minister appreciated the the support of the Italian government for the Iran-US dialogue.

The talks aim to make further progress towards a just, binding and sustainable agreement.

The Italian Golf Federation and the Italian Professional Golfers Association honoured the Oman Golf Trophy during the 2025 Italian Golf Awards ceremony. The Federation recognised the championship as one of the most prominent sporting events, resonating widely among Italian sports elites.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation.

The new route means passengers from Oman can travel directly to Rome for the first time ever.

Counsellor Asila Alkiyumi, Deputy Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission to the Italian Republic, took part in the annual meeting hosted by the Italian President, Sergio Mattarella, for members of the diplomatic corps at the Quirinale Presidential Palace.

The events highlighted Oman’s achievements and future vision.

Oman’s Ambassador to Italy, His Highness Sayyid Nazar Al Julanda Majid Alsaid, took part in a meeting held by the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, QU Dongyu, with Arab Ambassadors to the Italian Republic. The meeting discussed the situations in Palestine and Sudan and the support the organisation can provide.

Oman’s Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Albania, Sayyid Nazar Al Julanda Majid Alsaid, presented his credentials to President Bajram Begaj in the capital, Tirana. The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said and His Majesty’s wishes of good health and happiness to the Albanian President and to the government and people of Albania

The Royal Decrees include Foreign Ministry appointments to international bodies.
