His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will pay an official visit to the Republic of Botswana and the Republic of Angola, beginning this Wednesday.

A statement issued by the Diwan of the Royal Court reads as follows:

“In order to strengthen the shared interests between Oman and the friendly Republics of Botswana and Angola, and to develop these relations and broaden them into wider horizons, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will undertake state visits to the two countries beginning Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The two visits will address various areas of cooperation and opportunities to strengthen them, as well as ways to develop cooperation across different fields in a manner that serves shared interests and aspirations.

His Majesty will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Angola; and Ambassador Ali bin Said Al Kathiri, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Oman in the Republic of South Africa, who oversees Oman’s relations with the Republic of Botswana.
