His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued 10 Royal Decrees, four of which relate to the diplomatic corps.
Royal Decree No. (71/2026) makes transfers and appointments in the diplomatic corps.
Article (1) transfers the following to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in Muscat:
1. Sheikh Al Abbas bin Ibrahim bin Hamad Alharthi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to Malaysia.
2. Yousuf bin Ahmed bin Hamad Aljabri, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.
3. Dr Mohammed bin Said bin Khalifa Albusaidi, Oman’s Ambassador to Japan.
4. Dr Saleh bin Amer bin Harith Alkharousi, Oman’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait.
5. Sayyid Turki bin Mahmoud bin Ali Albusaidi, Oman’s Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Article (2) transfers Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Saleh Albahrani, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan and appoints him as Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq.
Article (3) makes the following appointments:
1. Sheikh Nasser bin Sulaiman bin Hamad Alharthy is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.
2. Faisal bin Omar bin Said Al Marhoon is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Article (4) grants the following positions and makes the following appointments:
1. Ali bin Ahmed bin Salim Alshanfari is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait.
2. Anwar bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Muqaibal is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
3. Yaqoub bin Badr bin Ali Alruqaishi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan.
4. Salim bin Habib bin Salam Alomairi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Somalia.
5. Salim bin Saud bin Salim Alhabsi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Extraordinary Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.
6. Rashid bin Ali bin Humaid Al Badi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal.
7. Engineer Hatim bin Hilal bin Ali Alyaqoubi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to Malaysia.
8. Aseela bint Nasser bin Zaid Al Kayoumi is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed as Oman’s Ambassador to Japan.
9. Dr Sheikh Salah bin Salim bin Ali Jaaboub is granted the position of Ambassador and is appointed Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Royal Decree No. (72/2026) appoints Talal bin Sulaiman bin Habib Alrahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to the United States of America, as Oman’s non-resident Ambassador to the United Mexican States, Canada, the Republic of Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Royal Decree No. (73/2026) appoints Abdullah bin Nasser bin Mussallam Al Rahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, as Oman’s non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Angola.
Royal Decree No. (74/2026) appoints Khalid bin Salim bin Ahmed Bamakhalif, Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, as Oman’s non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Benin and the Republic of Sierra Leone.
