The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye hold a session of political talks in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs while the Turkish delegation was headed by Musa Kulaklikaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The talks reviewed ways to develop cooperation in the political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural fields.
It also discussed the establishment of an Omani-Turkish Coordination Council to increase the level of coordination and consultation between the two countries and to strengthen partnerships in the commercial, economic, investment, health, and tourism sectors to support development paths in both nations.
The meeting also addressed the regional situation as well as international issues of common concern. The session emphasised the importance of de-escalation and working through dialogue and diplomacy to resolve crises and to enhance regional and international stability.
The session was attended by Munther Almandheri, Head of the Ministry’s Europe Department; Saif Aljahwari, Oman’s Ambassador to Türkiye; and various officials from both countries.
