Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received a phone call from Paulo Rangel, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic.
The two Ministers reviewed prospects for cooperation and ways to expand partnership opportunities and trade exchange in a manner that serves the interests of both countries.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly issues related to maritime security, the safety of global supply chains and the impact of current crises on international trade flows.
The Ministers affirmed the importance of upholding international law to safeguard freedom of navigation. They also underscored the need to intensify international efforts to contain escalation and advance political and diplomatic solutions that strengthen security and stability and limit the economic repercussions of ongoing crises.
