Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a telephone call with Yvette Cooper, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom. During the call, they considered developments in the region and ways to defuse escalation. They also discussed advancing political and diplomatic solutions to restore safe maritime navigation in the Gulf and through the Strait of Hormuz, in support of the stability of the global economy.

Both countries affirmed the importance of continuing efforts to contain tensions and strengthen channels of dialogue, contributing to regional and international security and stability.
