President of Kazakhstan holds official talks with His Highness Sayyid Theyazin

An official talks session was held at the Akorda Presidential Palace in the Kazakh capital, Astana, co-chaired by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and His Higness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

The session discussed areas of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop and enhance them across various sectors for the mutual benefit of their peoples, emphasising the importance of intensified coordination and cooperation to expand partnership opportunities.

The discussions also reviewed investment opportunities in both countries to forge new avenues of partnership and the exchange of expertise and knowledge in economic, investment, and developmental fields.

The session was attended from Oman by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador at large at the Foreign Ministry; and Mohammed Albahrani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From Kazakhstan the session was attended from the by Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister; Nurlan Zhakupov, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna (the sovereign wealth fund of Kazakhstan) ; Nurlan Baibazarov, Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs; Yerlan Akkenzhenov, Minister of Energy; Lazar Yernar, Adviser to the President for International Affairs; and Aidarbek Tumatov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman.
