Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a telephone call with António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, during which they discussed the current escalation and its repercussions for the security and stability of the region, as well as ongoing international efforts to contain it.

The Secretary General commended the role undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman in facilitating communication and supporting negotiation efforts under all circumstances.

Sayyid Badr affirmed Oman’s continued support for all initiatives aimed at achieving peace and security in the region and worldwide. He also expressed Oman’s appreciation for the important role played by the Secretary General in this regard.
