His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was accorded an official reception ceremony at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Luanda today. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the State Visit His Majesty is paying to the Republic of Angola.

Upon His Majesty’s arrival at the Presidential Palace, President João Manuel Lourenço of the Republic of Angola led the receiving party for His Majesty.

The President welcomed His Majesty and his accompanying official delegation, expressing his profound delight at this gracious visit, as the artillery fired a twenty-one-gun salute in honour of His Majesty.

His Majesty and the President of Angola then proceeded to the dais of honour and the Royal Anthem of Oman and the Angolan National Anthem were played before His Majesty inspected the Guard of Honour.

His Majesty then shook hands with the senior Angolan dignitaries receiving him, while the President of Angola shook hands with the Omani official delegation.
