His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has arrived in the Republic of Angola for a two-day state visit at the invitation of President João Manuel Lourenço of the Republic of Angola.
Upon His Majesty the Sultan’s arrival at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport in the capital, Luanda, he was received by Tete António, Minister of External Relations and Head of the mission of honour, along with senior officials.
His Majesty the Sultan then shook hands with the Angolan reception party, passing between two rows of the guard of honour.
An official welcoming ceremony for His Majesty will be held on Friday at the Presidential Palace in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
His Majesty is accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and non-resident Ambassador to Angola.
