The Oman Nepal Business Forum, organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Muscat, explored partnership and investment opportunities between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal in trade, investment, food security, water, beverages, handicrafts and traditional industries.

The Forum aims to strengthen ties between the business communities of the two friendly countries, to explore commercial and investment opportunities and to discuss prospects for joint partnerships and projects across a range of priority economic sectors.

Salem Al Alawi, Director General of the Board Affairs and International Cooperation at the OCCI, said the forum reflects the Chamber’s belief that the private sector is a key partner in building economic relations and advancing shared interests between countries.

He added that direct engagement between business leaders is the first step towards identifying opportunities, exchanging expertise and building sustainable partnerships that create added value for the national economy.

Bishesh Kumar Sah, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal in Oman, highlighted the Forum’s importance in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries.

He said it provides a platform for direct engagement between business leaders to explore cooperation and investment opportunities and build sustainable partnerships that serve mutual interests.
