Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait, toured Al Sujarah Village in Wilayat Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Birkat Al Mouz in Wilayat Nizwa as part of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister’s visit programme to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the tour, the two Ministers were briefed on some of the cultural and tourism attractions that distinguish Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Al Sujarah, which dates back more than 500 years, is one of the oldest villages in Al Jabal Al Akhdar and represents a remarkable example of Omani architectural heritage and traditional mountain life.

The two Ministers also visited Birkat Al Mouz in Wilayat Nizwa, one of the prominent historical and tourism destinations in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The area is renowned for its agricultural oases, traditional architecture and Falaj Al Khatmeen, one of the Omani aflaj systems inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, reflecting Omani ingenuity in water resource management. They also visited Bayt Al Ridaydah Fort, one of the notable historical landmarks in Wilayat Nizwa.

The tour highlighted the historical and natural features that distinguish Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and showcased Oman’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.

Amouage also hosted Sheikh Jarrah Al Sabah, introducing him to the company’s experience in crafting luxury Omani fragrances. The visit highlighted how its creations draw inspiration from Omani heritage and incorporate elements of Oman’s environment and culture into the art of fine perfumery.

In a post on social media platform X The Foreign Minister said: “It was a delightful tour today with Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah and members of his delegation from the sisterly State of Kuwait. Together, we marked the 55th anniversary of modern diplomatic relations between Oman and Kuwait, reflecting on the remarkable progress and growth these relations have achieved at all levels, building on deep rooted historical ties and shared aspirations founded on common destiny, objectives and aligned visions. May these close bonds, and the spirit of friendship, cooperation and affection between us and all the peoples of our region, continue to flourish.”
