AlSayyida Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in the opening of the 59th annual meeting of of the Asian Development Bank, held in Samarkand on May 4, 2026.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, delivered a speech about the importance of expanding the horizons of international cooperation and promoting regional integration to contribute to achieving sustainable and comprehensive development.

‏The meeting addressed various issues, most notably green transformation, energy, digitisation, investment promotion, food security and sustainability of supply chains.

Official delegations and representatives of international and regional institutions from more than one hundred countries attended the meeting, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and senior officials and representatives of governments, companies and international banking institutions.
