His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a phone call with Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, during which they discussed developments in the region and their political and economic implications.

The two leaders highlighted the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to advance US–Iran negotiations in order to resolve the crisis, reduce escalation and secure maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in a way that supports the consolidation of international peace and security and upholds the principles of international law.
