Oman affirms support for international law and calls for dialogue and restraint in Venezuela

In light of the recent developments related to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Foreign Ministry affirms the principles of the Sultanate of Oman’s policy. These include full support for international law and respect for the sovereignty and independence of states.

On this basis, it calls on all parties to exercise restraint and enable dialogue to prevent escalation and achieve reconciliation. This should serve security and stability and protect civilians and the friendly Venezuelan people and their legitimate choices.

Oman also renews its full support for the United Nations and any efforts it undertakes to maintain international peace and security.
