Oman Pakistan Friendship Association holds meeting

The Oman Pakistan Friendship Association held its first meeting in Muscat, aimed at advancing its mission to strengthen friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The meeting discussed practical initiatives in tourism, investment, trade, healthcare and education. These included expanding investment opportunities, strengthening links between the business communities of both countries and encouraging commercial and economic partnerships.

Participants also discussed promoting tourism and cultural exchange, strengthening cooperation between tourism organisations and the private sector and showcasing the artistic heritage of Oman and Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Department for the GCC and Region; Dr Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman; Sayyid Fayyaz bin Ali bin Shah, Chairman of the Oman Pakistan Friendship Association, and Engineer Redha bin Juma Al Saleh, Vice Chairman of the Association as well as members of its Board of Directors.
