His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Muscat this morning for the Republic of Kazakhstan on a two-day state visit during which he will meet President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.
This visit comes in response to a gracious invitation extended to His Majesty from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The visit reflects the depth of relations between the two countries and aims to build new bridges of partnership and investment to realise mutual benefits for the two countries.
His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by their highnesses, ministers and military commanders.
His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied during the visit by a high-level official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Sheikh Dr Salah bin Salim Jaaboub, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
