His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has arrived in Astana to begin a two-day state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan led the welcoming party for His Majesty at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in the Kazakh capital, Astana. The President wished His Majesty and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay and a successful visit.

His Majesty shook hands with the welcoming party from Kazakh and the members of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Astana. The President then shook hands with the delegation accompanying His Majesty.

After that, His Majesty and the President viewed the parade of the Guard of Honour.

When the plane carrying His Majesty the Sultan entered Kazakh airspace, it was escorted by military aircraft of the Kazakh Air Forces, in a manifestation of warm welcome for His Majesty’s gracious visit to Kazakhstan.

An official reception ceremony will be held tomorrow for His Majesty at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
