His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by President Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana, visited the Diamond Technology Park in the capital, Gaborone.

Upon His Majesty’s arrival, he was received by Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, Minister of Minerals and Energy, and the Director General of the Park.

His Majesty was briefed on the Diamond Parks’s activities and responsibilities, its work in the diamond sector and its role in sorting and valuation, as well as its efforts to increase added value in the sector.

His Majesty then toured the Park’s main laboratory, where he viewed the technical processes and technologies used at various stages of production and was briefed on the Hub’s technical capabilities and expertise.

At the end of the visit, His Majesty signed the distinguished visitors’ book, expressing his thanks and appreciation to those working at the Diamond Technology Park and wishing them continued success.

His Majesty also commended the Park’s work and significant efforts in the mining sector.
