The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Rwanda signed two agreements and six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah. These signings took place during the official visit of President Paul Kagame of Rwanda to Oman, aiming to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two friendly nations.

The first agreement provides for the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, while the second addresses the avoidance of double taxation. The MoUs cover the fields of agriculture, logistics, the development of land and dry ports, supply chain services, investment promotion, labour, strategic partnership, and investment activation.

The agreements and MoUs were signed on behalf of Oman by Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ali bin Talib Al Maawali, Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Aviation Investment Company.

On behalf of Rwandan they were signed by Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Yusuf Murangwa, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning; Dr Solange Uwituze, Minister of State for Agriculture and Animal Resources; Antoine Kajangwe, Minister of Trade and Industry; and Juliana Muganza, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board.
