His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone call with the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Andy Burnham to discuss developments in the region and efforts both to prevent further escalation and to achieve de-escalation, in order to strengthen the foundations of peace and security.

The two leaders also discussed ways to advance the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries to serve shared interests, to open broader prospects for cooperation and to support the aspirations of their peoples for further progress.
