Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Alharthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, met with Le Hoai Trung, Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, during his official visit to Vietnam.

During the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa conveyed the greetings of Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and expressed Oman’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Vietnam and develop existing areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries.

He also welcomed the Vietnamese Government’s decision to open an embassy in Muscat, noting the importance of this step in supporting bilateral relations and expanding prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam’s Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of continuing exchanges of visits at various levels to strengthen bilateral relations and expand areas of joint cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Alhosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department, and officials from the foreign ministries of both countries.
