The first consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania were held, at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.

The Omani delegation was headed by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, while the Tanzanian delegation was headed by Dennis Lazaro Londo, Deputy Minister for Investment, Industry and Trade.

The meeting discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and prospects for cooperation in investment, trade and logistics. The two delegations also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Dr Mohammed Albalushi, Head of the Ministry’s Africa Department, Maulidah Bwanakheir Hassan, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Oman, and officials from both countries.
