Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Minister congratulated the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term. He wished the country success in carrying out its responsibilities and contributing effectively to the maintenance of international peace and security, as well as to the promotion of dialogue and multilateral cooperation.

The Ministers also discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and opportunities to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They exchanged views on international issues and ways to strengthen consultation at United Nations forums in support of peaceful solutions and respect for international law.
