Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a telephone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

The call reviewed the latest developments in the region and ongoing mediation efforts and diplomatic contacts aimed at preventing further escalation and confrontation.

The Ministers also discussed advancing opportunities for mutual understanding among the parties in order to reach an agreement that can serve as a practical and sustainable foundation for future progress, particularly with regard to ensuring the freedom and safety of navigation in the region and through the Strait of Hormuz, and restoring global supply chains.

The Ministers affirmed the importance of maintaining consultation and coordination in response to current developments. They also highlighted the need for regional and international efforts to address the causes of tension and promote security and stability.
